The Importance of Innovation Architecture

 
For this assignment, research the innovation architecture of at least three companies that are well-known for successfully supporting a culture of innovation. 
1. Starbucks
2. Walmart
3. Wholefoods
 
Write a 750-word paper that addresses the following:
1. What particular elements of each organization’s culture, processes, and management systems and styles work well to support innovation?
2. Why do you think these organizations have been able to capitalize on innovation and entrepreneurship while others have not?
3. Based on what you have learned, what processes and systems might actually stifle innovation and entrepreneurship?
4. Imagine yourself as an innovation architect. What structures or processes would you put in place to foster a culture of innovation within your own organization?
 
 
 
Solution Structure 
 
In this assignment we have talked about the why is it important to have the innovation architecture in the organization. For that purpose, we have selected three multinational organizations, that is, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and Wholefoods. In the first section, our aim is to find out the elements of each selected organization’s culture, management systems and processes that helped them so well, in order to support the innovation. All three companies are very much dependent on the innovation for the success that they have achieved. They take care about requirement of encouraging the employees in order to promote the creative mindset at the workplace, they invite ideas from their globally located employees as well as customers, and they respect ideas from very employees irrespective of their post and designation in the company. 
In the next section, we have talked about the ways by which the organizations are able to capitalize on the innovation and the entrepreneurships while the others haven’t. in this, we have talked about the unique steps that these companies have taken in their journey, that have made them such a successful company in the market. 
After that, we were required to give answers based on the learning that we have developed in the first two sections. We were required to define what are the processes and systems that might actually choke the possibilities of the innovation and entrepreneurship in the company. There are many hindrances that the company has to face in order to bring innovation culture in their systems.  
In the last section, we had to imagine our self as an innovation architect. We were required to provide suggestions by which we can boost the innovation in the structure and processes of the company.
